Hi there! My name is Nurlan, I’m 39 years old, and I’ve started this blog to share my experiences, insights, and hopefully inspire someone along the way. I was born in sunny Kyrgyzstan but moved to Moscow, where I completed high school specializing in Information Systems and Technology at the faculty of Applied Cosmonautics. Later, I began pursuing a PhD but chose not to defend my thesis. My journey into the IT world began during these years, setting the foundation for everything I’ve accomplished since.

After working ten years at Acronis, I moved to Cyprus in 2017 to take on new challenges. Over the past few years, I’ve been part of a small but ambitious startup, where I’ve gained hands-on experience in building and managing products, including a successful AI-based platform. This journey has taught me a lot about product development, leadership, and creating motivated teams that work toward a shared vision.

Why Start a Blog?

First and foremost, I want to share the lessons I’ve learned over the years. While there are plenty of success stories out there, I rarely come across honest, detailed accounts of what it’s really like to build products: the challenges, doubts, small victories, and unexpected twists along the way.

Secondly, I’m deeply fascinated by AI. It’s a field that’s reshaping the world, and we’re just scratching the surface of what’s possible. In this blog, I plan to explore the potential and limitations of AI, as well as the problems that no algorithm can solve—at least for now.

What Will This Blog Cover?

1. Product Management: From idea generation to execution and finding the right audience.
2. Team Leadership: Building trust, uniting people around a shared vision, and avoiding burnout—both personally and within the team.
3. AI and Technology: Where artificial intelligence is heading, what problems it solves, and where it still struggles.
4. Mistakes and Lessons: I won’t sugarcoat anything. Every insight I share is rooted in real-world experiences.

I don’t claim to have a unique perspective. My knowledge is the result of countless experiments, mistakes, and steps forward. My goal is to write in a way that’s honest, straightforward, and practical, so even those outside the tech industry can find something valuable here.

Authenticity and Value

I believe authenticity is key to meaningful communication. So don’t expect big buzzwords or polished versions of reality. I’ll share only what I’ve truly experienced and understood. My hope is that this blog becomes a place where we can exchange ideas, experiences, and inspiration.
